Overview
Madison Media Fund (“Madison Media Fund,” “we,” or “us”) operates the ArchMarket crowdfunding and investment platform (“ArchMarket” or “the Platform”). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information about you when you use our platform.
By creating an account or using ArchMarket, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
Information We Collect
Account information: When you register, we collect your email address, display name, and password (stored in hashed form). Creator accounts may also include profile images and biographical information.
Transaction data: If you back a campaign, we collect your contribution amount, reward tier selection, and payment information (processed through Stripe — we do not store full card numbers). Pledge data (non-binding interest) includes your email address and pledge amount.
Usage data: We may collect information about how you interact with the platform, including pages visited, campaigns viewed, and device/browser information.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: (a) operate and improve the ArchMarket platform; (b) process transactions and manage your account; (c) communicate with you about your account, campaigns you support, and platform updates; (d) comply with legal obligations; and (e) detect and prevent fraud or other prohibited activity.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes.
Sharing Your Information
We may share your information with the following categories of service providers that help us operate the platform:
Supabase (database and authentication): Receives account credentials (email address, hashed password), profile data, transaction records, pledge records, and notification data. Data is stored on Supabase-managed servers in the United States.
Stripe (payment processing): Receives payment card data, billing information, and transaction amounts for backed campaigns. Stripe stores payment data on its PCI-DSS compliant servers. We do not store or have access to full card numbers.
Mux (video hosting and streaming): Receives video files uploaded by creators, including trailers, pitch videos, and series content. Mux processes and stores video content on its CDN infrastructure.
Vercel (hosting and content delivery): Receives server request data including IP addresses and browser information as part of standard web hosting operations.
We may also share your information with: (a) creators, to the extent necessary to fulfill campaign rewards; (b) law enforcement or regulatory authorities when required by law.
In connection with a potential offering under Regulation A+, we may share non-binding pledge data with securities counsel and regulatory intermediaries as required by applicable securities law.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes, as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).
Because we do not engage in the sale or sharing of personal information, no opt-out mechanism is required. If you have questions or wish to receive written confirmation of this practice, contact us at privacy@madisonmediafund.org.
Data Retention
We retain account data for the duration of your account and for up to three (3) years following account closure for legal and compliance purposes. Transaction and pledge records may be retained for up to seven (7) years to meet applicable tax and securities recordkeeping requirements.
You may request deletion of personal data not subject to legal retention obligations by contacting us at privacy@madisonmediafund.org. A complete retention schedule will be provided upon attorney review.
Cookies and Tracking
ArchMarket uses session cookies essential to platform operation, including authentication and security. We may use analytics cookies to understand how users interact with the platform. We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting cookies, or third-party behavioral tracking cookies.
You may disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings without affecting core platform functionality. A full cookie disclosure will be provided upon attorney review.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your personal information, opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share personal information), and to non-discrimination for exercising these rights.
EU/UK residents (GDPR/UK GDPR): You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict processing, data portability, and to object to processing of your personal data. A full GDPR disclosure will be provided upon attorney review.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@madisonmediafund.org.
