About this title
Synopsis
The Kosciuszko Club has two hundred names on the roll and about thirty men who still come. What it has instead of dues is the Saturday meat raffle, which Sal Kowalczyk has run from behind the bar for nine years. Tickets are a dollar. First prize is a side of beef, and on Friday night the walk-in is empty, and the butcher who donated it has stopped answering the phone. Sal has sixteen hours and about four hundred dollars. If Saturday does not happen, the hall does not make March, and thirty men lose the only room in the county that still knows them.
Who this is about
Sal Kowalczyk tends bar at a social hall with two hundred members, ninety of whom are dead, and the Saturday meat raffle is the only thing keeping the lights on.
What goes wrong
On Friday night the first prize, a side of beef donated by the last butcher in town, is not in the walk-in, and two hundred tickets are already sold.
What's at stake
If Saturday does not happen the hall closes in March, and thirty old men lose the only room where anybody still says their first names out loud.
Why it keeps going
Every week the raffle needs a prize, the prize needs a story, and Sal has to produce both by six o'clock without anyone learning where the last one came from.
Takeaway
An institution is usually one person improvising, and it stays an institution as long as nobody finds out.

Where your money goes
Your money goes straight to the creator to turn this pitch into a trailer. A pitch today is a poster and a logline. What the money buys is the first piece of film anyone will see.
Nothing is collected until two things are true
This campaign has to raise $300, which is 60% of its ask, and reach 50 backers. Whichever of the two happens later is the one that counts. Money without backers is one person, and backers without money is a crowd that cannot fund the thing, so a Pitch campaign needs both.
