About this title
Synopsis
Culvert, Kansas has a football field, a portable light on a trailer that has to be backed into position by somebody's uncle, and sixteen players, which in eight-man football is eight players and eight spares. Ronnie Kittredge is fifty-four and has coached them for nineteen years. No scout has ever made the drive. She has stopped mentioning this to the boys, having noticed that they had already worked it out. In August the district proposes folding Culvert into the school forty miles east. Better field. Real trainer. A bus. The board votes in November, and Ronnie has been asked to say a few words in favor.
Who this is about
Ronnie Kittredge coaches eight-man football in Culvert, Kansas, with sixteen players, one portable light on a trailer, and a booster club that is four people and a coffee can. She is fifty-four.
What goes wrong
The district offers to fold Culvert into the school forty miles east. It would give the boys a real program, a real field, and no reason for Ronnie to be there.
What's at stake
Sixteen boys is one injury from a forfeit and two from no season at all. The vote is in November. Saying yes is the right thing and it ends her.
Why it keeps going
Each episode is one more Friday, one more boy playing both ways on a bad ankle, and one more school board member she has to be polite to at the grocery store.
Takeaway
Nobody drives four hours to watch sixteen boys, which is exactly why what happens out there stays honest.

Where your money goes
Your money goes straight to the creator to turn this pitch into a trailer. A pitch today is a poster and a logline. What the money buys is the first piece of film anyone will see.
Nothing is collected until two things are true
This campaign has to raise $300, which is 60% of its ask, and reach 50 backers. Whichever of the two happens later is the one that counts. Money without backers is one person, and backers without money is a crowd that cannot fund the thing, so a Pitch campaign needs both.
