About this title
Synopsis
Kettleridge Lodge has hosted eleven hundred weddings and one fire. Priya Nandakumar has run the last four hundred of them and can tell you the wind on the dock at four in the afternoon in any month of the year. Bram Ostergaard bought it in March with the intention of putting eighteen units on the water. He is not a villain. He has read her binders and he thinks she is wasted here, which is somehow worse. The permit is filed for the twelfth of October. There are nineteen weddings on the calendar before it.
Who this is about
Priya Nandakumar plans forty weddings a year at the Kettleridge lake lodge and has never once been late, over budget, or in love.
What goes wrong
The lodge sells to the contractor who intends to gut it in October, and he asks her to run the whole season out at his side.
What's at stake
Working the season means forty couples booked into a building that will not exist next year, and a man whose job is ending the thing she built.
Why it keeps going
One wedding a week until October, each one a small argument about what a place is worth, and the demolition permit is already filed.
Takeaway
You cannot spend your life staging everyone else's best day and call it a life.

Where your money goes
Your money goes straight to the creator to turn this pitch into a trailer. A pitch today is a poster and a logline. What the money buys is the first piece of film anyone will see.
Nothing is collected until two things are true
This campaign has to raise $300, which is 60% of its ask, and reach 50 backers. Whichever of the two happens later is the one that counts. Money without backers is one person, and backers without money is a crowd that cannot fund the thing, so a Pitch campaign needs both.
