About this title
Synopsis
Ruth Alderman is eighty years old and has been widowed for four of them, and in those four years her three children have decided, between themselves and with great kindness, where she will live and when she will stop driving. On a Thursday morning she loads Harold's pickup with everything she still wants, which turns out to be less than a bed's worth, and leaves the house key on the counter beside the phone she is not taking. They catch her three states later, at a diner outside Amarillo, all of them talking at once. Ruth finishes her coffee, pays, and asks who is coming.
Who this is about
Ruth Alderman is eighty, widowed four years, and has spent all four of them being told by her children where she will be living next.
What goes wrong
On a Thursday she puts everything she still wants into her late husband's pickup and drives west without telling a soul, and her phone stays in the kitchen drawer.
What's at stake
Her family finds her outside Amarillo. She can go home to the arrangement they made for her, or she can keep driving and let them decide whether to follow.
Why it keeps going
Every episode another relative climbs into the truck with a reason to turn it around, and every episode the truck gains a passenger and keeps heading west.
Takeaway
The people who love you most are often the ones most certain they know what is best for you.

Where your money goes
Your money goes straight to the creator to turn this pitch into a trailer. A pitch today is a poster and a logline. What the money buys is the first piece of film anyone will see.
Nothing is collected until two things are true
This campaign has to raise $300, which is 60% of its ask, and reach 50 backers. Whichever of the two happens later is the one that counts. Money without backers is one person, and backers without money is a crowd that cannot fund the thing, so a Pitch campaign needs both.
