About this title
Synopsis
Gene Marsh preached at Renner Baptist for twenty-nine years. He buried most of the people who voted him out. The margin was four. His daughter Delia has been gone ten years. She comes back in April to a house with the study boxed up, a father who will not discuss it, and a town that goes quiet a certain way when she walks into the hardware store. It takes her nine days to get a look at the roll. Her uncle voted against him. So did her sister. Her father knew that in March and has said nothing to anybody since.
Who this is about
Delia Marsh left Renner at twenty-four and did not come back, not for Christmas and not for her mother's surgery, and everyone in the church knows exactly how long it has been.
What goes wrong
The congregation her father built voted him out in March by four votes, and when she finally reads the roll she finds her uncle's name on it, and her sister's.
What's at stake
Her father wants it left alone. Delia can honor that and watch him disappear, or take it up and split what is left of the family for good.
Why it keeps going
Each episode she learns one more reason the vote went the way it did, and most of them turn out to be true, which is the part she did not prepare for.
Takeaway
A congregation is a family, and families do not vote on anything they have not already decided.

Where your money goes
Your money goes straight to the creator to turn this pitch into a trailer. A pitch today is a poster and a logline. What the money buys is the first piece of film anyone will see.
Nothing is collected until two things are true
This campaign has to raise $300, which is 60% of its ask, and reach 50 backers. Whichever of the two happens later is the one that counts. Money without backers is one person, and backers without money is a crowd that cannot fund the thing, so a Pitch campaign needs both.
