About this title
Synopsis
Isaiah Poole is not the fastest boy on the Youngstown relay. He has never been. He runs anchor because in four years he has not once bobbled a handoff, and the other three trust his hands more than their own legs. In January the numbness starts. It comes in the cold and then it stops leaving. In March a doctor in Cleveland gives it a name and tells him what it will do and roughly when. He has not told his coach. Three of his teammates are being recruited off this relay. State is the second week of May, and the baton comes to him at eighty meters, at full speed, every single time.
Who this is about
Isaiah Poole runs anchor for a public high school in Youngstown, Ohio. He is not the fastest of the four. He is the one whose hands never miss the stick.
What goes wrong
In January his fingers start going numb in the cold and stay numb after. A neurologist has a word for it. The exchange zone is twenty meters long and he has begun to fumble.
What's at stake
Three of his teammates are being looked at by colleges on the strength of the relay. If he says nothing and drops it at state, he takes all three down with him.
Why it keeps going
Each episode is one more meet, one more exchange that almost goes wrong, and one more day he could tell his coach and does not. The season ends in May.
Takeaway
The hardest thing an athlete ever does is tell the truth about his own body.

Where your money goes
Your money goes straight to the creator to turn this pitch into a trailer. A pitch today is a poster and a logline. What the money buys is the first piece of film anyone will see.
Nothing is collected until two things are true
This campaign has to raise $300, which is 60% of its ask, and reach 50 backers. Whichever of the two happens later is the one that counts. Money without backers is one person, and backers without money is a crowd that cannot fund the thing, so a Pitch campaign needs both.
