About this title
Synopsis
Junie Kasprak worked nineteen years on the finish line at Brenner. When the mill closed she stayed in the town that closed with it. At auction she buys the building for less than a truck costs, using the equity in her father's house and a signature from a bank that expects to be repaid on schedule. The presses still turn. The market for what they make does not exist anymore. Eleven people quit other work to come back. The company that shuttered the place is the only buyer left in the state, and it can afford to wait longer than she can.
Who this is about
Junie Kasprak spent nineteen years on the finish line at the Brenner mill and buys the empty building at auction, because the town needs a payroll more than she needs the savings.
What goes wrong
The mill is sound and the market is gone, and the only buyer for what it makes is the company that closed it in the first place.
What's at stake
If she is wrong, eleven families who quit other jobs to join her lose them, and she loses the house her father built.
Why it keeps going
Every order she lands buys one more month and forces one more compromise, and the men who closed the mill are content to wait her out a month at a time.
Takeaway
Betting your own house is easy. Asking eleven other people to bet theirs is the part that costs.

Where your money goes
Your money goes straight to the creator to turn this pitch into a trailer. A pitch today is a poster and a logline. What the money buys is the first piece of film anyone will see.
Nothing is collected until two things are true
This campaign has to raise $300, which is 60% of its ask, and reach 50 backers. Whichever of the two happens later is the one that counts. Money without backers is one person, and backers without money is a crowd that cannot fund the thing, so a Pitch campaign needs both.
