About this title
Synopsis
The name was Daniel Roarke, and Detective Margo Lindqvist made it the way you make anything out of nothing, patiently and slightly illegally, out of the paperwork of a man who had died in another state with no one to notice. Her informant has worn it for three years. He has a wife who took it, a daughter who was born into it, and a lease with the name on the line where a life is supposed to start. In March a man calling himself Daniel Roarke is found dead in Duluth. In April, another, in Sioux Falls. The broker who built the documents built them five times, and someone is counting down.
Who this is about
Three years ago Detective Margo Lindqvist built a man a name out of a dead stranger's paperwork, because the official program would not take him and she was not willing to bury him.
What goes wrong
The broker who made the documents sold the same identity four more times. Someone hunting the original owner has started at the top of that list and is working down it.
What's at stake
Her informant has a wife and a five-year-old who have never heard his real name. Warning him means telling them, and telling them ends the only life he has ever kept.
Why it keeps going
Each episode another Daniel Roarke turns up, each one a stranger she made possible, and Margo has to decide again how much of her own career the fourth one is worth.
Takeaway
A name given in kindness is still a name, and every name eventually gets found.

Where your money goes
Your money goes straight to the creator to turn this pitch into a trailer. A pitch today is a poster and a logline. What the money buys is the first piece of film anyone will see.
Nothing is collected until two things are true
This campaign has to raise $300, which is 60% of its ask, and reach 50 backers. Whichever of the two happens later is the one that counts. Money without backers is one person, and backers without money is a crowd that cannot fund the thing, so a Pitch campaign needs both.
