About this title
Synopsis
Marlee Dunn gave Kettering three years, and Kettering has never had a college scout in the gym. Hollins has four a season. In August she transferred, which in that county is not a paperwork question. Her mother works two jobs and a scholarship is the only way any of this ends well. Marlee knows that. So does everyone at Kettering, and it has not helped, and the girls she left have known her since third grade. The schedule has the two schools playing in December and again in February. She has one season to be seen, and eleven weeks to work out what she still owes a team she chose to leave.
Who this is about
Marlee Dunn played three years for Kettering and transferred to Hollins for her senior season, because Hollins gets scouted and Kettering does not, and she needs to be seen.
What goes wrong
Kettering loses its only real player in August and does not replace her, and the two schools play twice, and Marlee's new team is better at everything.
What's at stake
A scholarship is the only exit her family has, and she is one season from it. What it costs is a locker room of girls she has known since she was eight.
Why it keeps going
Each week she is asked to prove she belongs at Hollins, and each week somebody from Kettering asks her, in one way or another, what she thinks she still owes them.
Takeaway
Leaving a place for a good reason does not settle the question of what you left behind.

Where your money goes
Your money goes straight to the creator to turn this pitch into a trailer. A pitch today is a poster and a logline. What the money buys is the first piece of film anyone will see.
Nothing is collected until two things are true
This campaign has to raise $300, which is 60% of its ask, and reach 50 backers. Whichever of the two happens later is the one that counts. Money without backers is one person, and backers without money is a crowd that cannot fund the thing, so a Pitch campaign needs both.
