About this title
Synopsis
June Halloran paid cash for eighty acres in the Driftless under a name that is hers only in the sense that nobody has disproved it, and she brought her daughter, and she left no address. The cellar has a door that was bricked over, then plastered, then papered, which is three separate people agreeing about something. She needed the room for the winter stores. She took it down herself. Behind it is a chapel the size of a closet, and a candle, and the candle is lit. Something has kept it burning. It is prepared to keep her hidden for as long as she keeps it fed.
Who this is about
June Halloran took her daughter and eleven thousand dollars and bought a Wisconsin farmhouse under a name she is not entitled to, for reasons she has explained to nobody.
What goes wrong
She breaks open a cellar door that three previous owners bricked, plastered, and papered shut. Behind it is a chapel the size of a closet and a candle that is still lit.
What's at stake
Whatever keeps the wick burning will keep her and the girl unfindable, and it will take payment in kind. Letting it go out means being found by the man she ran from.
Why it keeps going
Each episode is one more month of safety, one more thing asked for, and one more neighbor who notices that the Halloran place never gets visitors.
Takeaway
Anything willing to hide you has already decided it owns you.

Where your money goes
Your money goes straight to the creator to turn this pitch into a trailer. A pitch today is a poster and a logline. What the money buys is the first piece of film anyone will see.
Nothing is collected until two things are true
This campaign has to raise $300, which is 60% of its ask, and reach 50 backers. Whichever of the two happens later is the one that counts. Money without backers is one person, and backers without money is a crowd that cannot fund the thing, so a Pitch campaign needs both.
