About this title
Synopsis
Teo Sandoval got his brother the job at Vantry Rendering. He vouched for him. He drove him out for his first shift and waited in the lot until he clocked in. That was eight months ago. The company says Hector quit in April. There is a signed form. It is not Hector's handwriting. Teo took a job on the same shift to find out, and now he counts. Forty-one men go through the door at nine. Thirty-eight come out at six. He has counted it nine nights running. On the tenth, the plant manager offers him the desk where the counting gets written down.
Who this is about
Teo Sandoval vouched for his younger brother at the Vantry rendering plant, drove him to his first night shift, and waited in the lot until he saw him clock in.
What goes wrong
Eight months later the company produces a resignation form in handwriting that is not Hector's. Teo hires on to the same shift and starts counting men through the door.
What's at stake
Forty-one in, thirty-eight out, nine nights running. Management notices the counting and offers him the desk where the numbers are recorded, which is a job and also a test.
Why it keeps going
Every shift Teo works is one more night he does the plant's work in order to stay close enough to find what the plant did with his brother.
Takeaway
The people who disappear are usually the ones somebody else recommended for the job.

Where your money goes
Your money goes straight to the creator to turn this pitch into a trailer. A pitch today is a poster and a logline. What the money buys is the first piece of film anyone will see.
Nothing is collected until two things are true
This campaign has to raise $300, which is 60% of its ask, and reach 50 backers. Whichever of the two happens later is the one that counts. Money without backers is one person, and backers without money is a crowd that cannot fund the thing, so a Pitch campaign needs both.
