About this title
Synopsis
Yoli Serrano runs a forty unit building in the Bronx for an owner she has never met. She also keeps a family in 4B who are not on any lease, and has for two years. 4C has been vacant since last August. The owner warehouses it on purpose. In February Yoli starts hearing something through that wall, and in March she hears it clearly enough to know what it is. She waits five weeks and then calls it in. The precinct sends two officers who confirm 4C has been empty for a year. What they will find next is the family in 4B.
Who this is about
Yoli Serrano is the resident manager of a rent stabilized building in the Bronx, and she has kept an undocumented family living in an off-lease apartment for two years.
What goes wrong
She hears something through the wall of 4C for five weeks before she reports it. The apartment has been deliberately kept empty by the owner since last August.
What's at stake
Police in the building means inspectors in the building, and inspectors mean the family in 4B is gone in a week and Yoli is gone with them.
Why it keeps going
Each episode she learns one more thing about 4C that she can only act on by exposing herself, and each episode the sound behind the wall gets closer to language.
Takeaway
The people best placed to notice a crime are usually the people least able to afford being noticed.

Where your money goes
Your money goes straight to the creator to turn this pitch into a trailer. A pitch today is a poster and a logline. What the money buys is the first piece of film anyone will see.
Nothing is collected until two things are true
This campaign has to raise $300, which is 60% of its ask, and reach 50 backers. Whichever of the two happens later is the one that counts. Money without backers is one person, and backers without money is a crowd that cannot fund the thing, so a Pitch campaign needs both.
