About this title
Synopsis
Della Voss buries her father in March and finds the contract in his coat: a hundred miles of wire across the Ferrol basin, payable only when the last post is set. She is nineteen, she has one wagon and four spools, and the ranchers who signed the paper have changed their minds. The ones who never signed it are cutting the wire behind her. She works east to west, one mile at a time, and every mile is a conversation with the family whose grass it crosses. Some of them help. Some of them wait until dark.
Who this is about
Della Voss is nineteen and holds her late father's contract to string a hundred miles of wire across the Ferrol basin. She means to finish it and be paid what he was owed.
What goes wrong
The ranchers who signed the contract have changed their minds, and the ones who never signed it are cutting the wire behind her faster than she can set it.
What's at stake
The contract pays on completion only. Failing it costs her the family quarter-section. Finishing it costs her every neighbor she has left.
Why it keeps going
Each mile is its own negotiation with the family whose land it crosses, and the wire she strung last week is coming down while she works the next.
Takeaway
A promise you inherited is still a promise, and keeping it costs more than making it did.

Where your money goes
Your money goes straight to the creator to turn this pitch into a trailer. A pitch today is a poster and a logline. What the money buys is the first piece of film anyone will see.
Nothing is collected until two things are true
This campaign has to raise $300, which is 60% of its ask, and reach 50 backers. Whichever of the two happens later is the one that counts. Money without backers is one person, and backers without money is a crowd that cannot fund the thing, so a Pitch campaign needs both.
