About this title
Synopsis
The listing said six weeks. A house on the Oregon coast, no pets, no neighbors, water the plants and forward the mail. Cass Verhoeven took it because she needed somewhere to be. Week seven, the deposit lands again. She emails the agency twice and gets nothing. Week nine she stops emailing, because she has worked out that reporting it is the same as ending it. By week eleven she is signing for deliveries in the owner's name. On the Tuesday of week twelve a woman comes up the drive with a key, a printed contract, and the same start date as hers.
Who this is about
Cass Verhoeven is twenty-nine and between everything. She takes a six week house sitting job on the Oregon coast because it comes with a bed, a deposit, and no questions.
What goes wrong
Week seven arrives, the money arrives with it, and nobody answers the number she was given. She works out that reporting the error is the same as ending the arrangement.
What's at stake
Every week she stays she takes a little more of a stranger's life, and by week eleven she is signing for deliveries in a name that is not hers.
Why it keeps going
Another house sitter arrives with an identical contract, and the two of them have to decide which one is going to leave, and what the other one will owe for staying.
Takeaway
A life you are only borrowing is very comfortable right up to the moment somebody comes to collect it.

Where your money goes
Your money goes straight to the creator to turn this pitch into a trailer. A pitch today is a poster and a logline. What the money buys is the first piece of film anyone will see.
Nothing is collected until two things are true
This campaign has to raise $300, which is 60% of its ask, and reach 50 backers. Whichever of the two happens later is the one that counts. Money without backers is one person, and backers without money is a crowd that cannot fund the thing, so a Pitch campaign needs both.
