About this title
Synopsis
Dwayne Kesler owes eleven thousand dollars to a man who does not send letters. So at two in the morning he walks out to the Ott place, where he has worked six years, and opens a pen. One sow, out the gate, into a trailer, sold by Thursday. That was the whole plan. In the dark he counts wrong and opens the pen at the far end, the one Ott keeps chained. It is loose in eighty acres of mud and hog pens. Dwayne has a captive bolt gun, one charge, and two miles of open ground to the road. The Ott family is asleep in the house behind him.
Who this is about
Dwayne Kesler has worked the Ott hog operation for six years and owes eleven thousand dollars to a man who collects in person rather than by mail.
What goes wrong
He goes out at two in the morning to steal one sow, miscounts the pens in the dark, and opens the chained one at the far end instead.
What's at stake
Two miles of mud to the road, one charge in a captive bolt gun, and the family that trusted him asleep in the house on the other side of the lot.
Why it keeps going
One night, told in real time. Every pen he crosses, every light he turns on, tells whatever is out there exactly where he is standing.
Takeaway
A small theft and a large one are the same act; only the invoice differs.

Where your money goes
Your money goes straight to the creator to turn this pitch into a trailer. A pitch today is a poster and a logline. What the money buys is the first piece of film anyone will see.
Nothing is collected until two things are true
This campaign has to raise $300, which is 60% of its ask, and reach 50 backers. Whichever of the two happens later is the one that counts. Money without backers is one person, and backers without money is a crowd that cannot fund the thing, so a Pitch campaign needs both.
