About this title
Synopsis
Four days. Seven attempts. No contact. At six on Thursday evening the company posts the notice, the state inspector signs it, and the mine stops being a rescue and becomes a grave with paperwork. Six men are down there. One of them is Harlan Boyd's father. Boyd is nineteen. He is standing in the parking lot at seven with a fire boss of thirty years and two brothers, and none of them is talking. The roof has come in twice. The lamps are company property. Going down is trespass and dismissal and possibly the last thing any of them does. The gate is chained, the lot is empty, and it is nine hours until anyone notices.
Who this is about
Four men off the same crew: a fire boss of thirty years, two brothers, and a nineteen-year-old whose father is one of the six still down there.
What goes wrong
Seven attempts, four days, no contact. The company posts the notice at six on Thursday evening and the state inspector signs it, which makes the mine a legal grave.
What's at stake
Going down is trespass, dismissal, and a roof that has already come in twice. Not going down is a decision every one of them will be living with in forty years.
Why it keeps going
Each episode is one more shift they were not scheduled for, one more section of bad roof, and one more hour past the point where anybody expects to find men alive.
Takeaway
Some men cannot live in a town where they decided to stop digging.

Where your money goes
Your money goes straight to the creator to turn this pitch into a trailer. A pitch today is a poster and a logline. What the money buys is the first piece of film anyone will see.
Nothing is collected until two things are true
This campaign has to raise $300, which is 60% of its ask, and reach 50 backers. Whichever of the two happens later is the one that counts. Money without backers is one person, and backers without money is a crowd that cannot fund the thing, so a Pitch campaign needs both.
