50 more to reach the 50-backer floor
Back this at one of three levels. Nothing is charged now. Pledges are only collected if the campaign reaches $300, which is 60% of its ask, and 50 backers, and you can change or withdraw yours until then.
You are backing a stage for perks, coins and early access. You are not buying a share of the title or any financial interest in it.
A pledge is a promise to back a campaign, not a payment and not a purchase of any financial interest. Nothing is charged unless the campaign is collected, and every campaign is approved before it opens. Full disclaimer
About this title
Synopsis
The Anchorage closes the second week of November. Six people stay on through March to keep the pipes from freezing and the roof from going. Ruth Coyne takes the front desk. Wade Toomey takes maintenance. Nobody asks either of them anything. That is the appeal of the job. Ruth is married in a way she has not explained to anyone at the Anchorage. Wade was tried last spring and acquitted, which turned out to be a different thing from cleared. In December a guest checks in with a newspaper, and by the middle of January there is nothing left to not explain. The resort opens the first of April. That is four months to decide what this is.
Who this is about
Ruth Coyne runs the front desk of a shuttered resort on the North Carolina coast from November to March. Wade Toomey does maintenance. Neither of them applied for a job. They applied for four months.
What goes wrong
A guest checks in at Christmas with a newspaper. By January the whole staff of six knows what Wade was acquitted of, and knows the acquittal settled nothing.
What's at stake
Ruth is still married. Wade is still the man in the newspaper. Whatever they build in the off-season has to survive the day the resort opens and other people arrive.
Why it keeps going
Each episode is one more week of the closed season, one more thing neither of them has to explain yet, and one week fewer before March.
Takeaway
An empty place is the only kind that lets two people find out who they are without an audience.

Where your money goes
Your money goes straight to the creator to turn this pitch into a trailer. A pitch today is a poster and a logline. What the money buys is the first piece of film anyone will see.
Nothing is collected until two things are true
This campaign has to raise $300, which is 60% of its ask, and reach 50 backers. Whichever of the two happens later is the one that counts. Money without backers is one person, and backers without money is a crowd that cannot fund the thing, so a Pitch campaign needs both.
