About this title
Synopsis
Ruben Astacio is thirty-four and still the biggest name on a four-county club circuit that pays in envelopes and fights above a bowling alley. He is twelve bouts past the age a man should stop. His younger brother owes forty thousand dollars to the men who own that room. So Ruben agrees to go down in the fourth. He trains for it. He goes down in the fourth, and he makes it look like something that happened to him. On Monday the debt is larger. Nobody explains why, because nobody has to. Ruben now owns exactly one thing anyone in that building wants, and they have discovered they can buy it more than once.
Who this is about
Ruben Astacio is thirty-four, twelve fights past the age when a man should stop, and still the biggest name in a four-county circuit that pays in envelopes.
What goes wrong
His younger brother owes forty thousand to men who own the room. Ruben agrees to go down in the fourth, goes down in the fourth, and the debt is somehow larger on Monday.
What's at stake
He has one asset left that anybody wants, the ability to lose convincingly. Sell it twice and he never stops selling it, and his brother learns a debt here is a subscription.
Why it keeps going
Every card brings another offer, another number, another chance to be useful to the wrong people, and Ruben keeps discovering that the only exit runs through a fight he is supposed to lose.
Takeaway
A debt paid with a favor is not paid, it is only moved somewhere it can grow.

Where your money goes
Your money goes straight to the creator to turn this pitch into a trailer. A pitch today is a poster and a logline. What the money buys is the first piece of film anyone will see.
Nothing is collected until two things are true
This campaign has to raise $300, which is 60% of its ask, and reach 50 backers. Whichever of the two happens later is the one that counts. Money without backers is one person, and backers without money is a crowd that cannot fund the thing, so a Pitch campaign needs both.
