About this title
Synopsis
They found the Kessler boy in the spring before first light, and by sunup the town of Gallows Spring had held a meeting, taken a vote, and settled on Feliciano Arriaga, forty-one to nine. Arriaga has run cattle in this valley since before the valley had a town in it. He has hired most of the forty-one at one time or another, and buried two of their children himself. The rope goes up at noon, which gives him six hours and no lawyer, and a town that would like this settled before the heat comes on. He starts at the first door on the west side.
Who this is about
Feliciano Arriaga has run cattle in the Gallows Spring valley since before the town had a name, and has been, until this morning, the second wealthiest man in it.
What goes wrong
A boy is found dead in the spring. The town holds a meeting at dawn, votes forty-one to nine, and gives itself until noon to be sure.
What's at stake
Six hours. Nine people already voted for him and will have to keep living here afterward. So will the forty-one, and so will the man who actually did it.
Why it keeps going
Arriaga spends the morning going door to door among the forty-one, and every door is a person he has fed, hired, buried a child for, or refused.
Takeaway
A town can vote for a thing at dawn and be unable to say, by noon, who exactly wanted it.

Where your money goes
Your money goes straight to the creator to turn this pitch into a trailer. A pitch today is a poster and a logline. What the money buys is the first piece of film anyone will see.
Nothing is collected until two things are true
This campaign has to raise $300, which is 60% of its ask, and reach 50 backers. Whichever of the two happens later is the one that counts. Money without backers is one person, and backers without money is a crowd that cannot fund the thing, so a Pitch campaign needs both.
