About this title
Synopsis
There is a circuit below the circuit, in dirt lots behind feed stores in the Texas panhandle, where the purse is two hundred dollars and nobody asks a man to produce a physical before they let him into the chute. Wendell Cardoza is thirty-eight, and rides it every weekend, and does not keep the money. Four years ago in Amarillo he told his traveling partner that a bull named Claybound was nothing, and watched him get on it. The envelopes go out unsigned, from whatever town he is in. His right hand is the hand that holds the rope, and the hand the doctors talked to him about, and there are eleven weekends left in the season.
Who this is about
Wendell Cardoza is thirty-eight and rides bulls in dirt lots across the Texas panhandle for two hundred dollars a night, on the only circuit that no longer asks for a physical.
What goes wrong
The money is not for him. Four years ago he talked his traveling partner onto a bull that killed him, and he has been sending the widow whatever he wins, unsigned.
What's at stake
His right hand is the one that holds the rope and the one the doctors warned him about. Every eight seconds he buys costs him something he will need for forty more years.
Why it keeps going
Each episode is one more town, one more draw, and one more envelope. The widow has started asking the post office who is sending them. She lives ninety miles from his next ride.
Takeaway
A debt paid in secret is still a debt, and it never gets any lighter for not being named.

Where your money goes
Your money goes straight to the creator to turn this pitch into a trailer. A pitch today is a poster and a logline. What the money buys is the first piece of film anyone will see.
Nothing is collected until two things are true
This campaign has to raise $300, which is 60% of its ask, and reach 50 backers. Whichever of the two happens later is the one that counts. Money without backers is one person, and backers without money is a crowd that cannot fund the thing, so a Pitch campaign needs both.
