Synopsis
Marcus Dell checks his mirrors every thirty seconds, which is why he is the one who notices the van that has been behind him since sunrise. His partner won't meet his eye. The radio has gone quiet. The first stop is eleven minutes away. Marcus decides, quietly, that he is not going to make it.

Marcus Dell is thirty-two, an armored truck driver who has run the same Gulf Coast route for nine years and never once been late.
What goes wrong
His partner of three years has sold the route to a crew, and the first stop on the morning run is where they will be waiting.
What's at stake
A crew with automatic weapons waits at the stop. The truck can survive one hit. The man inside cannot survive two.
Why it keeps going
A bulletproof truck, a cash cage with no key, a radio that is being listened to and a route with no good place to turn around.
