50 more to reach the 50-backer floor
Back this at one of three levels. Nothing is charged now. Pledges are only collected if the campaign reaches $300, which is 60% of its ask, and 50 backers, and you can change or withdraw yours until then.
You are backing a stage for perks, coins and early access. You are not buying a share of the title or any financial interest in it.
A pledge is a promise to back a campaign, not a payment and not a purchase of any financial interest. Nothing is charged unless the campaign is collected, and every campaign is approved before it opens. Full disclaimer
About this title
Synopsis
January, 1961. A bomber comes apart over tobacco country in the middle of the night and sheds two thermonuclear weapons across eight hundred acres of somebody's farm. One lands whole. Major Dale Ruskin arrives to recover them. Sheriff Lowell Pike wants to know what is in his creek bed. Dr. Naomi Ashford reads the arming sequence and stops talking. A general in Washington has already decided what the county will be told. The second weapon is in mud nobody has mapped, and the men digging for it have not been told why. Four people know the true count of the safeties that held. Each has to decide who else gets to.
Who this is about
Major Dale Ruskin runs weapons recovery. Sheriff Lowell Pike has jurisdiction he cannot enforce. Dr. Naomi Ashford knows what the device will do. A general in Washington needs it never to have happened.
What goes wrong
A B-52 breaks up at thirty thousand feet over tobacco country in 1961 and sheds two weapons. One is recovered intact. The other goes into mud nobody has mapped.
What's at stake
Five arming steps stood between a farm county and a city-killing yield. Four of them failed on the way down. Nobody outside four people is ever going to be told.
Why it keeps going
Each episode is one more day of digging, one more thing the county is not told, and one more person who decides whether being useful is worth being complicit.
Takeaway
A secret kept well enough stops looking like a secret and starts looking like nothing happened at all.

Where your money goes
Your money goes straight to the creator to turn this pitch into a trailer. A pitch today is a poster and a logline. What the money buys is the first piece of film anyone will see.
Nothing is collected until two things are true
This campaign has to raise $300, which is 60% of its ask, and reach 50 backers. Whichever of the two happens later is the one that counts. Money without backers is one person, and backers without money is a crowd that cannot fund the thing, so a Pitch campaign needs both.
